If you have an IRS notice on your kitchen table, you already know the feeling. The letter uses language you don’t recognize, gives you a deadline, and doesn’t tell you what happens if you miss it.
I’m Tony Novak, a CPA in Millville. For thirty years I’ve handled tax problems for people and businesses in Cumberland County and across South Jersey. Not a national call center. Someone local who answers the phone.
What I handle
IRS notices. CP2000, CP523, CP504, CP90, LT11 and Letter 1058. Each one means something specific and each one has a deadline. Some are routine. One of them means the IRS can start taking your money in thirty days.
Levies and garnishments. If the IRS has taken money from your bank account or is garnishing your paycheck, there are ways to stop it. The window is short.
Unfiled returns. Years behind is more common than you think, and it is fixable. The IRS treats someone who comes forward differently than someone they have to find.
Owing more than you can pay. Installment agreements, currently not collectible status, and offers in compromise are real options with real qualification rules. I’ll tell you honestly which one fits.
New Jersey Division of Taxation problems. Most tax resolution firms only handle federal. If the state has filed a lien or issued a levy, that’s a separate process and I handle both.
Why local matters
You can hire a national firm off a radio ad. Many people do, and many of them pay thousands up front to a salesperson and never speak to the same person twice.
I’m in Millville. You can call me directly. If your situation calls for sitting down in person, we sit down.
What to do now
If you’re holding a notice, call 856-314-5625 and read me the number in the top right corner. That number tells me how much time you have and what happens next. The call costs nothing.
If you’re not sure whether your situation is serious, call anyway. The ones that turn out to be nothing take five minutes. The ones that are serious get worse if they wait.
